Sweat by BXR

When it comes to high-end gym brands there are few that can match the luxury and clientele of BXR. “GQ’s gym of the year’s” members include boxing royalty Anthony Joshua (also a stakeholder and spokesperson for the group), DJ Mark Ronson and Victoria’s Secret model Sara Sampaio.

BXR, The exclusive Marylebone gym brand,  described by Vogue as “the Harrods of gyms” opened their second studio “Sweat by BXR” in Canary Wharf in 2019, offering their elite boxing classes and Versa Climbing – the most effective calorie-burning cardiovascular exercise in the world, with a pay to train model.

Having previously purchased gym equipment direct from distributors BXR were looking for a manufacturer to help personalise and style essential equipment to a high specification. Through mutual industry contacts Jigsaw were recommended as a supplier who are known to go the extra mile to create unique fitness environments in a class all of their own. In collaboration with Bergman Interiors and BXR founder Olia Sardorava Jigsaw set about formulating large scale equipment and detailing to maximise space and impact.

After initial on-site meeting the Jigsaw design team developed a series of prototype drawings and rendered illustrations, these with minor adjustments, led to a full scale fit out and delivery of equipment within 6 weeks. With daily contact and delicate logistics management into the busy inner-city area, the installation was finished in 4 days as planned.

Futuristic, state-of-the-art equipment is paired with stylish interiors, creating an ultra-cool workout space which attracts Victoria’s Secret models and heavyweight champions alike. While the gym itself features dark, industrial aesthetics, the changing rooms are gold and gleaming, stocked with complimentary Malin & Goetz products.

If you thought boxing gyms were rugged or grungy, think again…

It has been a great joy working with Jigsaw on all our projects. The pure creativity, new ideas and products we have created in the process have improved our spaces and the look and feel of the gyms.
